Dubai is preparing itself to host the 37th edition of the World Hospital Congress from the 8th – 10th of November this year at the Atlantis Hotel in Palm Jumeirah. Dubai will be the first City in the Arab World to host the congress since the foundation of International Hospital Federation in 1930.
The conference this year is held under the theme: “Healthcare in a Changing World; Overcoming the Challenges” and it aims to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas on best practices, foster international partnerships and promote interaction among public and private hospitals and health care organizations. The IHF congress is hosted in a different country on each occasion, and this year Dubai is proud to be the first city in the Middle East to host the World Hospital Congress this year which is considered a very proud achievement for the UAE and the Arab World.
H.E. Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority reassured the significance of this congress which will be an additional success to the events industry in the UAE in general. Dubai has been a very successful attraction for hosting international events. H.H. expressed his pride in hosting the 37th edition of the IHF in Dubai and explained that it will enhance the role that Dubai plays in the health sector and its keenness in working on developing this field.
H.H. Qadhi also referred to the support of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai for the Health Sector and also praised the kind patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority for the event and for his continuous support for the national and international events that are related to the health industry.
H.H. also said “we are expecting that the International Hospital Federation (IHF) will be very unique this year as it will gather key decision makers and healthcare professionals from around the world. The conference provides more than 30 scientific sessions and will be marked with the participation of more than 100 speakers from Canada, U.S.A, Brazil, France, Belgium, Norway, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuwait, Jordan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.”
